The Valdosta State Lady Blazers closed out the 2009-10 season with a 20-9 overall mark and a perfect 10-0 Gulf South Conference record to claim the GSC East Championship. VSU won 15 games in a row en route to a fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and the fifth in six seasons.

All four seniors on the team were named to the All-Gulf South Conference team with Leschelle Matthews making first team and Michelle Thompson, Tamika Booker and Sierra Nixon each claiming spots on the second team.

Nine Lady Blazers took home academic honors after the 2010 season.

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Valdosta State's Courtney Mitchell scored a career high 13 points in a back-and-forth battle between the Lady Blazers and No. 8 Delta State that came down to the wire Sunday.
